Say NO to DEBIT cards

Debit Cards are banking's latest scam. Banks push them to circumvent the $50 liability limit on fraudulant credit card purchases. Now the onus is on the consumer to prove that we are the victims of theft, to prevent crimes against us after they started occuring, and to cover the loss until the weeks it takes for it to *maybe* get our losses recovered.

The banks use Debit cards to outsource their risk and uncertainty and liabilites to their customers, us, under the guise of 'convenience.'

The good thing about being robbed, is that at least you *know* you were robbed. With debit cards you find out later with a shock that the crime has been and still maybe occuring. Good luck with your debit cards.

I say no to Debit Cards and take every chance to denigrate them for the scam that they are.

Update: debit cards now have a $500 liability limit, but victims of theft are responsible to report their burglaries in a timely fashion.
